Futures Team @ Pymble

Sharing student voice from their experiences of the Futures Program is important to our team to ensure the support we provide is meaningful.

This week, we have also included some information on upcoming events related to Oxford University and our partnership event with St Ignatius’ Riverview.

Work Experience

Alexandra MacColl (Year 11) recently went on work experience during the school holidays. Here is Alexandra’s reflection of her experience:

The Work Experience Program provided me with the invaluable opportunity to observe what real-world skills are needed in an architecture and interior design firm. Brooke Aitken Design facilitated the discovery and refinement of new skills such as communication, collaboration and problem-solving by allowing me to undergo a variety of different tasks.

Crucially, I learnt about the importance of organisation through the use of up-and-coming digital programs and the effectiveness of a diplomatic approach when communicating between suppliers and clients. I gained insight into how a passion for creativity can be curated into a professional career path.

Working alongside such inspiring women was an invaluable experience. I implore all Pymble students to consider applying for the Work Experience Program.
