Athletics

Last Wednesday 26 October, our Pymble Athletics students competed at the New South Wales (NSW) Schools Challenge which took place at Olympic Park.

It was such a great competitive night of Athletics, with Pymble entering a total of five teams which included one Senior team, two Intermediate teams and two Junior teams.

Having not seen this competition since 2019 due to Covid-19, all schools across the State came to the track in full force.

All our athletes performed extremely well, and it was nothing short of world class. Athletics NSW have written an impressive article on our Pymble performances at the NSW Teams Challenge, which can be found through the link. Please click here to read it.

A big congratulations to our Senior team for winning the overall Senior division and walking away with the championship trophy!

Our Intermediate division teams also has an impressive performance with our A team taking home the overall division champion trophy, and our B team finishing closely behind to take out 2nd place overall.

These teams are now automatically selection into the National School Challenge which will take place in Adelaide in December later in the year.

Thank you to all the parents and staff who came out to support.  We wish all our athletes the very best in the lead up to Nationals.
