On the weekend our Pymble 1 team came up against Lane Cove Under 13s. Phoebe Cooper (Year 9) and Sophie Webster (Year 7) performed exceptionally, Phoebe scored 30 runs and Sophie Webster scored 37 not out. Lauren Carruthers (Year 10), Charlotte Carruthers (Year 8) and Darcey Hawkins (Year 9) also contributed to Pymble’s overall total of 85 runs – our highest score yet! Phoebe and Sophie were in outstanding form, getting a wicket each. Lane Cove were too strong on the day and were able to reach our run score with 8 wickets in hand.

Our Pymble 2 team competed against Castle Hill Thunder over the weekend. Another high run chase with Pymble cricketers scoring 61 runs. Castle Hill, however, managed to chase down our run score with 8 overs to spare. Special mention goes to Zoe Bloom (Year 7), Amelia Watson (Year 7), Brielle McDonald (Year 7) and Abani Dhaliwal (Year 7) who were electric in the field and managed to score several boundaries!
With two more weeks to go I am excited to see how both our teams finish the season.
