Cricket
The weather was finally in our favour on Saturday, and our teams were able to play their first fixture of the North Shore Junior Cricket Competition. With many of our matches being rained out in Term 1, it was great for our students to get back on the pitch.
Our Pymble 1 team came up against North Sydney Under 17 Girls Perry at Blackmans Park in Lane Cove. North Sydney was a very competitive club side and our Pymble team put up a fight however were not able to post enough runs on the board to get the win. Well done to Charlotte Carruthers (Year 8) and Phoebe Cooper (Year 9) who were the top Pymble scorers. A great delivery also from Lauren Carruthers (Year 10) who got one of the opening batsmen out for North Sydney.
Pymble 2 travelled to Tunks Park in Cammeray to take battle against North Sydney Under 13 Girls Perry side. Congratulations to Sophie Webster (Year 7) and Anjali Shah (Year 7) who were the top run scorers for Pymble. Wicket takers for the day were Sophie Webster (Year 7) and Abani Dhaliwal (Year 7).
