Pymble Drama competed against 20 other schools with their original devised performance of ‘Let the Games Begin’. The performance took inspiration from the Olympic Games. It explored the mind games we play with others and ourselves, which is shown through battling with our inner demons when confronted with fear and doubt, and how people manipulate and ‘psych out’ other competitors in large competitions, to ensure they win the gold medal. It explored the idea of never giving up even when challenged with major set backs, and how we come back from difficult times in our lives to become better than before.
