What a fabulous week we have had in Boarding! On Friday, it was great to have our Boarder Parent Group together to discuss all things Boarding. The minutes of the meeting can be accessed by clicking here..
This was followed by a fabulous evening of catching up, celebrating and dancing at the Warrawee Club. Our ABBA cover band, Mamma Mia, was a real hit with universal appeal for our youngest Boarders all the way through to the oldest member of our Boarding family – Dr Hadwen’s dad! The Boarders gave the night 100 out of 10, so I think it is fair to say the event was a true hit!
We were delighted to awaken to a sunny Saturday and it was wonderful to see our Boarding family coming together to celebrate the Garden Party. A laden produce stall, the fabulous Hillybilly Cider Bar and gourmet pork rolls all helped to ensure the Boarder Produce stall was a must visit on the day.
None of this would have been possible without the amazing Kylie Levy who coordinated the Boarders’ stall. Kylie worked tirelessly with her committee of Edwina Beveridge, Tessa McLaughlin, Julie Carmichael, Jane Francis, Jane Hillsdon and Kerry Roberts to ensure day was a huge hit. Thank you to all of you who contributed in so many special ways. It was a fabulous effort and even better to know that all profits will go to the Boarder Parent Scholarship Fund.
Congratulations to our CIS Champion!
I am delighted to share the success of our very own Grace Peters at the CIS Athletics Championships held at SOPAC on Tuesday. Despite being unwell for several weeks in the lead up to the Championships, Grace triumphed in her events coming first in Shotput, second in Discus and third in Javelin. We are so proud of you Grace!
Eat like a Boarder – Don’t forget to sign up!
I hope you can join us for dinner on Monday 10 October at 6.00pm, when you return your girls from the Term 3 break. This will be the ‘real’ experience, with you being able to enjoy the regular dinner service, just as the girls do each evening. It has been a busy and productive term and I am sure you are all looking forward to some special family time. Thank you for your support and generosity in sharing your beautiful girls with us. Every good wish for a happy, safe and relaxing break and I look forward to welcoming back you and your daughter from 2.00pm on Monday 10 October.
