From the Director of Student Learning (Years 11 to 12)

HSC exams have begun!

On Wednesday morning, our fabulous 2022 Year 12 cohort started their HSC Exams with English Paper 1 and 2, Japanese, Music 1 and Music 2. They are to be congratulated on the calm and mature way they have approached all their exams so far.

The NESA invigilators who supervise the exams have been so impressed by their gracious manners and willingness to follow instructions.

 Post exam comments have included:

“There were no surprises – I felt well prepared”

“The essay question in Paper 1 was broad so I could show off what I had studied”

“I am glad that this one is over, I am giving myself a couple of hours rest, then onto the next one”

My very best wishes for continued success over the next couple of weeks. Please refer to the Pymble Valete Handbook if you have any questions about HSC Procedures, Futures and Career information and Key Dates.

The new Year 12 2023 cohort has returned with a motivated and determined approach from day one. For some wise advice on how to study smarter not harder, please refer to this article from Dr Jared Cooney Horvath, an educational neuroscientist from the University of Melbourne.

In the first part of this term, students will be working on motivational mapping and organisation to set them up for success in Year 12.
