Job of the week: Head of Drama | Full-time permanent from 2023

Our Drama program continues to support students achieving excellence. Responsible for leading both curricular and co-curricular Drama, we are looking for an exceptional accredited teacher to run the program on a full-time basis commencing from 2023.

With demonstrated ability in leading a large Drama program at a high standard, you will lead Drama teachers and a team of co-curricular coaches. You will bring a love for all things Drama, including the study and analysis of play texts, dramatic styles and forms, individual and ensemble performances, elements of production in performance, cinematography and improvisation. You will be able to effectively extend and also implement teaching processes within the program.

In working collaboratively with the Curriculum Drama staff, you will significantly contribute to the success of our elective Drama students as they work from Year 9 to the HSC; helping to guide them in their academic endeavours. You will lead a teaching team that continually refines and improves its practices. A teaching load is part of the expectation of this role.

You will also work collaboratively with the Director of Co-curricular Performing Arts, Theatre staff and the associated administration team, helping to prepare our students for various exciting opportunities and projects throughout the school year, including inter-school competitions and live performances.
