Job of the week: Head of Learning Area – Science | Full-time permanent from Term 1, 2023

A passion for Science and all things STEM will set our next Head of Learning Area – Science up for success and bring all the benefits of joining a leading school in girls’ education.

You will join us on a full-time permanent basis from 2023, and step into an established, diverse and dynamic team. With a focus on enriching and improving student learning, you will lead your team in achieving this shared vision in a collaborative and supportive way. You will provide outstanding planning and organisational skills, as well as an exception communication style in your daily work. Flexible and enthusiastic, you will always be ready for a changing landscape and able to embed new evidence-based pedagogy in the classroom.

Science at Pymble is a desirable subject choice in Stage 6, resulting in one of the highest enrolments in any girls’ school in the state. We offer every HSC Science subject available, including Agriculture and innovative courses such as our new Data Science course.

Our students are driven and passionate about the potential of Science to change the world and have demonstrated a strong history of consistent high-level results including numerous state rankings in the HSC. Many participate in Robotics and Coding in our co-curricular programs to enhance their learning.
