Job of the week: Junior School Performing Arts Teacher – Full-time, permanent from 2023

We have the rare opportunity for a passionate and experienced Performing Arts Teacher to join our creative and innovative Junior School on a permanent basis from Term 1, 2023.

You will be an established and vibrant teacher, confident in following curriculum, scoping sequence and programming creative and innovative lessons. This role is highly collaborative, working with members of Performing Arts both in curricular and co-curricular, across the entire College base. You will be given autonomy to create your own lesson plans that integrate with other key learning areas, ensuring engagement and enjoyment for all students, no matter what their level.

With your skills and grounding in the Performing Arts space, you will also have the opportunity to branch out of the classroom and produce, manage and direct full-scale productions, including our highly anticipated yearly Year 6 Musical and Year 5 Showcase. The productions involve organisation of props, sets, costuming, volunteer management and of course ensuring each student has the opportunity to shine.

In return, you will join a supportive, fun, caring and valued community that is built on kindness to themselves and to others, with a focus on wellbeing for students and staff alike.
