From our Chaplains
On behalf of Reverend Bent and myself, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
It has been an incredible year with many achievements to celebrate and performances and competitions to attend and cheer on. There have also been struggles we have shared in grief and illness, however we have done this together as a community.
After a long year, even with all the celebrations we’ve had, ending on a high with the Carols Service last Sunday evening was a great success. I think we are all feeling a little tired and ready for a break.
We want to thank and congratulate Mr Schweinberger, Mrs Colbey, Mr Stafford, Mrs Hare, Mrs Turner, Miss Buckley, Miss Farlow, Mr Kneeshaw, our students and anyone I may have left out for the most incredible evening of Carols. It lifted our spirits and brought joy into our lives. Thank you! We are very fortunate to have such an amazing Music Department here at Pymble.
Reverend Bent and myself hope that you enjoy this very sacred celebration of Christmas, and blessings to our Jewish community members as you celebrate Hanukkah. Whatever it is we might believe, Christmas time is an opportunity to spend time with our loved ones and to communicate to our family and friends that we love them, using the love language of gifts and food (not sure if these are part of the love languages, but they are to most of us).
So, may we take the time to appreciate those we love and to not be overwhelmed by the busyness of this time of the year. May we not lose sight of what is important: those we love!
May God bless you at this time and bless your travels and returns. We wish you a time of rest and play until you return to us safe and well in 2023.
Blessings in Christ.
