Upcoming Events – enjoy your holiday!
As the 2022 school year comes to a close, the Community Engagement team would like to wish everyone in the Pymble community a safe and restful break as well as a festive holiday season. We hope to publish the 2023 Community Events calendar on MyPymble before the end of the year, which will be packed full of enjoyable events including all the traditional favourites and some exciting new ones, too!
The Magazine 2021
We have just had delivery of The Magazine 2021, written by students at Pymble to reflect the year that was. The yearly magazine provides an overview of the events, activities and achievements of girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. The printed is available at school offices now and a digital version is also available by clicking here.
Speech Days
We look forward to welcoming parents and carers onto campus tomorrow to celebrate the achievements of all of our girls and farewell the 2022 school year.
We are expecting a large number of parents on campus, so to guarantee that you are on time and secure good seating in the gymnasium, we strongly encourage parents catch the train to Pymble Station from where the College is only a short five-minute walk away.
For those who choose to drive, parking will be available in Centenary Car Park (entry via Gate 3) as well as 150 additional spots on James Kelso Field (entry via Gate 1).
Please note, however, that local traffic will be very busy, street parking will be extremely limited and it may take quite a while to find a parking spot within the College grounds.
College Christmas Celebration
A huge thank you to all involved in Sunday’s Christmas Celebration, particularly the Pymble Parent Association (PPA) for the delicious barbecue and slushies. Not even a thunderstorm could dampen the Christmas spirit on display and it was wonderful to see the community come together to bring in the festive season. A big thank you must also go to Santa, who was almost as popular as the slushies!
Looking forward to 2023
With 2023 just around the corner, our planning of future community events has well and truly begun. After reading the recent Community Engagement Event survey results that showed support for more cultural events, we are excited to offer an event celebrating the Dragonboat Festival in 2023.
We warmly invite the entire College community (siblings included) to celebrate our cultural diversity on June 22 at King Dynasty Restaurant, Chatswood with a banquet feast and plenty of activities for kids.
In 2024, we will be holding a similar cultural event, however this time celebrating Diwali. While we would like to include an all-parent cultural celebration for every culture every year, our busy school calendar means that we will select a different cultural event each year to complement our existing celebrations like our College Christmas Carols and other student-based cultural events during the year.
We’d also like to announce the dates of some of the most-anticipated yearly events at the College for early 2023:
- Icebreaker: Friday 24 February. This is a great opportunity for parents and carers to come together in early Term 1 to reconnect in a social setting.
- New Parent High Tea: Friday 24 March. This is a valuable opportunity to meet fellow parents and carers at the College in order to begin to forge friendships within their cohort. Further details for both events will soon be made available. All new parents and all Year 7 parents are invited to this fun event.
We look forward to your safe return in 2023!
