From our Head of Middle School
A very warm welcome to all of our new Middle School families. Congratulations to every student in Year 7 for embracing the challenges associated with Week 1 in secondary school and for engaging so enthusiastically in all the Orientation activities. Well done also to our incoming Year 8 students. We are so pleased you have joined us at Pymble. It is always wonderful to see the care our girls demonstrate towards each other. This is clearly a reflection of our Middle School culture. I would like to especially acknowledge the student buddies who have invested time to make others feel a sense of belonging. I would like to sincerely thank Mrs Victoria Harrison, one of our Heads of Year 7: 2022 for her leadership and investment in the lives of the girls. Mrs Harrison has been appointed as the Deputy Head of Upper School from 2023 and will no longer be with us in Middle School. Her contributions have been so valuable and deeply appreciated. On that note, I would like to welcome Mrs Stephanie Attley who will be working with Ms Gina Ventura as Head of Year 8.
The Middle School team is looking forward to the term ahead and working with you to ensure our girls thrive.

Year 7 Vaccinations
The following vaccines are offered free to students at school:
In Year 7 – diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) and human papillomavirus (HPV). Vaccination will only be provided at school if consent has been received.
You will need to provide consent online by Thursday 9 February. To provide consent for vaccination online go to https://nswhealth.service-now.com/school where you will need:
- your ServiceNSW log-in details, or to create an account with ServiceNSW if you don’t already have one
- Medicare details for parents/carers and your child
If you or your child do not have a Medicare card, consent can still be provided by requesting a paper-based consent form directly from our school.

Year 8 Mind Body Spirit Day
Year 8 students will visit Long Reef beach and participate in a range of wellbeing activities including learn to surf, surf education, body surfing, walking along the coast and beach games.
Consent is a two-step process. Please provide consent for your daughter to attend via the MyPymble app as well as the acknowledgement form. Please ensure both are completed by Wednesday 8 February.
COVID Information
The process for management of COVID positive cases in students remains in line with the guidelines in use during Term 4.
- To ensure the health and safety of our students and staff, any student who tests positive to COVID should stay away from school until feeling well again with no symptoms, as per the NSW Health guidelines.
- If your daughter is absent due to COVID, please follow the usual process of notification of her absence via the MyPymble parent portal.
- If your daughter is require to remain at home but is feeling well enough to continue learning, please encourage her to contact her teacher and/or access her learning via Canvas.
