Rowing

Over the December and January holidays, the Pymble rowing team continued to train both on the water and in the gym in preparation for Term 1 competitions (IGSA Regatta, Schoolgirl Head of the River and the Australian Rowing Nationals). As usual, rowing squads participated each in their own residential rowing camp. Around 25 senior rowers (Years 11 and 12) spent seven days in Lake Jindabyne, whilst 75 girls from Years 8 to 10 spent a few days on the Nepean River. Each camp was a tremendous success in terms of kilometres rowed, technique improved and enjoyment experienced. Looking ahead, the Pymble rowing team aims to start Week 1 of Term 1 strong with Roseville Regatta this Saturday 4 February.
